Help: looking for... alternate Halloween series cuts...

This is a tall order, but in case we have a Michael Myers bootleg collector out there (or simply a group of people that collectively have everything), I was wondering if someone could upload a torrent (something accessible to all and relatively longlasting, as opposed to newsgroups) of some of the alternate cuts of the Halloween movies. I would seed all of them, of course. I’ve already gotten my hands on the Ultimate Cut of Halloween II (however crappy the quality) and the superb DVD/bootleg hybrid of the Curse of Michael Myers Producer’s Cut, but there’s some more goodies out there that aren’t readily available for free. These are:

Halloween 666: The Origin of Michael Myers “Rough Cut” - [an unfinished print of the CoMM Producer’s Cut, with temp music and other differences]
Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers “Director’s Cut” - [a workprint of the CoMM Theatrical Cut, with more gore and stuff like that]
Halloween 7: The Revenge of Laurie Strode - [a workprint of H2O with extra footage and different music]
Halloween 8 - [a workprint of Resurrection with tons of alternate scenes]
Halloween 8: The Homecoming - [the screener of Resurrection with some alternate scenes]

Again, this is asking a lot, but if any of you can find it in your hearts to help me, it would be greatly appreciated (and again, this wouldn’t be “hit and run”; I WILL SEED).

EDIT: Alternatively, Rapidshare could work, as well. It may be slower to the downloader (assuming one doesn’t have a premium account), but it’s much easier on the uploader, as no seeding is required. This is actually how I got both the H2 Ultimate Cut and the H6 Producer’s Cut.

Hi,

I have got Halloween 7: The Revenge of Laurie Strode & Halloween H20 the FXTV Version, if they any good for you?

Thanks

I'm generally ignoring fullscreen versions (since I'll be making widescreen fan-edits), so the TV version won't really be necessary. I only got the Ultimate Cut of H2 (which is fullscreen) because the extra footage has never been presented in widescreen before. However, I would really appreciate it if you would upload The Revenge of Laurie Strode to a torrent or Rapidshare (whichever would be easiest for you). No pressure or anything, though.

Just out of curiosity, what are the differences between the theatrical and "ultimate" cuts of H2? Is it a really significant edit?

I don't want to get off-topic slightly, but would it be possible to compile a list here of all the different cuts that are available for each film (besides the theatrical cuts I mean). I'm trying to track down all of these too and it would be a great help.

To contact me outside the forum, for trades and such my email address is my OT.com username @gmail.com

It's actually a bit of an oddity. It takes the footage from the VHS release of H2, then, when there are alternate shots from a VHS recording of the TV version, it shows BOTH, one following the other. If you want a coherent, non-redundant film, you have to edit out your pick of the alternate shots by yourself. Inconvenient to the viewer, but excellent for the editor, who has all the material in a single video file. Or at least, it WOULD be great for the editor, if the quality were less than horrendous. This is a pure VHS splice (possibly pasted together the old-fashioned way, but you'd need to ask Rikter about that), and the quality is sub-par by 2008 standards. As far as plot significance, there isn't all that much (nothing like the new scenes for the original installment, which actually expand a bit more on Michael's situation and the like). You find out the "scalpel lift" nurse may have survived her stint as Michael's barbell, and there are tons of alternate takes and lines of dubbed dialog, but that's about it.

That would be helpful. Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough to compile a comprehensive list. Any fellow 'Weenies here who know what they're talking about?

Sounds interesting. Any chance I could get a torrent? I'm way too impatient for Rapidshare.

Okay, I'll see if I can figure out how to upload it (never done that before), because Rapidshare is the only way to get it right now.

I have four different cuts of Halloween 6 and I have absolutely no idea what the difference between them all is:

Producer's Cut (anamorphic widescreen)
Rough Cut (anamorphic widescreen)
Director's Cut (anamorphic widescreen)
TV Cut (fullframe)

And also a fifth disc of random promotional material and behind-the-scenes stuff. I've accumulated way too many DVDs.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

ReverendBeastly, I could kiss you! I could also give up all my worldly possessions and live in a monastery, but I'm not going to do that, either. I've got the Producer's Cut and I don't care about the TV Cut or the extras, but I would be eternally grateful if you could upload the Rough Cut and the Director's Cut. For such a mediocre sequel, it's insane how many versions of it exist (FIVE?!).

Oh, and grissom, a torrent entitled "Halloween II: The Ultimate Cut" has been posted to The Pirate Bay. Search for it (direct linking is a no-no). It may not register that I'm seeding, yet, but trust me, I am. Well, if those who have come forward are willing to upload, that's three out of five in the bag already.

I'm freeing up some HD space now, so I'll try to upload torrents in a few days or so.

I'm sure I sound greedy here and I don't mean to, but I've been looking for this particular set for a while (I know where to get it, but $50 for bootlegs is a ripoff). Any chance of a torrent of each disc?

And thanks a lot for that torrent Johnboy. I'm downloading now.

I suppose I could. I don't know what kind of timeframe that will be over. School starts again next week and when I have torrents uploading at full throttle, I basically can't do anything else online with any speed. I'll post the rough cut and director's cut first for Johnboy, then the rest.

The timeframe isn't a problem. I'd be grateful to have them no matter how long it takes. Thanks.

YOU ROCK! Thanks, man. Well, now, all that's left is the Resurrection cuts. I can understand if not many people are as interested in those (although I think Busta Rhymes actually made the film interesting).

Anyone have a link to the Producer Cut. I have it on VHS but it was bad quality and I no longer have a VCR.

Hey guys, I love the Halloween movies and I really appreciate it if someone could share The Revenge of Laurie Strode (Halloween H20 workprint)

It's very hard to find it.

Thanks.

Does anybody still have these to share? I'd love for the FX TV Cut of Halloween H20, the rough cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and also the TV Cut of The Curse of Michael Myers.
