Not only is he in the movie, but his role was super secret for a very long time. Many speculated he would be playing the future Riddler, but nothing was ever confirmed. From the latest semi-confirmed rumors, we now know his character's name is Mike Engel. He's a reporter who finds out Batman's secret identity and apparently tries to get it into the paper. He idolizes Bruce Wayne and owns a Lamborghini just like Wayne (the source wonders how the hell he could afford one on a reporters salary, so is speculative).

Strange name "Engel." You can manage to get the anagram "enigma" out of the full name name "Michael Engel" and end up with a lot of extra letters, so I guess this isn't one of those fun movie puzzles. But with how super secret his character name was kept for so long it's like...what the hell? Who is he really supposed to be?
