So you're another person who thinks naturally inherent film grain = bad? Give me a damn break. People alaways complain in their reviews about the grain in the film. Well, too bad since it's a natural process of filmmaking. What I loathe considerably is excessive DVNR'ing. I'd much rather see a nice grainy film with all the minute details intact over an edge-enhanced, de-grained abomination. Die Hard: With a Vengeance SE DVD anyone? I can't even really watch it at great lengths due to the excessive edge enhancement giving me a bad headache.
Let's not also forget the original audio language, even if different characters are speaking different languages, original tinting, aspect ratio and a multitude of other factors. Yes, I'm a die-hard film lover and would take a film-like presentation of a movie any day over a sub-par release.
