Holy shit, that's weird. I just dreamed about the Burton Batmobile last night (could be because I saw Sweeney Todd last night and that brought my Burton subconscious out...), specifically the Batmissile part from Batman Returns. I mean, it was the same Batmobile in that movie as in the first, but it just had a new function. Honestly, as much as I liked that first Batmobile it didn't really bother me when they changed it in Forever. It actually makes sense. Alfred even has a line in Returns saying how difficult it will be for them to fix the current Batmobile. "It's not as if we can take it to any Joe's Body Shop." So they got a new one. Makes sense to me.

ALFRED PICKS THEM UP, AND "ROBIN" TELLS BATMAN ABOUT HOW HIS DAD WAS INTO DRUGS AND WOULD BEAT HIM. BRUCE DECIDES TO TAKE HIM IN. AT ONE POINT BRUCE GOES DOWN INTO THE BATCAVE AND HE SEES "ROBIN" REBUILDING THE BATMOBILE.
RUMORS LEAKED ABOUT THIS SUBPLOT. THERE WAS SOME MAJOR BACKLASH FROM THE FANS. THEY WERE UPSET THAT THERE WAS A BLACK ROBIN. SO, THE STUDIO MADE BURTON CUT OUT ALL OF THE ROBIN FOOTAGE FROM THE FILM. BURTON HAD TO DO A PICK UP SHOOT. THAT SHOT WAS THE "HOW DO WE FIX THE BATMOBILE" SCENE.

Yeah, but that was through a modification that let him get through a tight alley. There's no reason to believe that if he had made it back to the Batcave that the car couldn't have been "reset".
That change was nothing compared to the cartoon that the Batmobile became in the following movies. Instead of building something newer and better, they built something that looked ridiculous and, as far as I remember, had no additional functionality. F Scale score - 3.3333333333333335

That stuff was actually shot? I thought that was from the original aborted Sam Hamm script that was soon replaced by the final one. I knew that Marlon Wayans had been cast, but I'd always heard there was never anything from that script actually shot.

It's like the bank robbers all graduated from the Chicago School of Cliché New York Thugs (CSC). Man, like seven people all die in the first six minutes. Loved the shotgun toting banker. I loved hearing Ledger's voice behind the mask, then he sticks the grenade in the guy's mouth. It was so Joker when it goes off. Arrrgh, I dunno I want to like it so bad, but IMO I think we might see some real crappy acting from some of the ancillary characters.
Wait. Anthony Michael Hall really is in the movie? I thought ADM was just joking that one of the masked thugs looked like Anthony Michael Hall. If he is then... cool.
