Even fewer will want to shell out the extra coin to see an IMAX movie featuring The Fresh Prince as the Last Human On Earth just to get a six minute cock-tease of one of the most anticipated films of 2008. It's like putting the Episode 1 trailer before Meet Joe Black.

Just came back from seeing I Am Legend with one of my friends. We didn't see the IMAX version, but it did have The Dark Knight trailer at the beginning. It looks pretty good, but my goodness, the whole thing is one Joker sound clip after another, kind of got old pretty quick.

As for putting the Batman promo video at the beginning of the IMAX version of I Am Legend being like putting a preview of Episode 1 in front of Meet Joe Black, it is nothing that sinister. They both aim at the same level audience and are both made by Warner Bros. so it makes sense. I don't think you can compare a sappy slow moving love story involving the grim reaper, with a slow moving story about the only man left on earth who is immune to a virus that turns people into blood thirsty vampires.

Yeah, I think the movie is going to be all right, just as Batman Begins was all right. But things are a bit over-hyped right now.

You're saying that it looks THE bollocks, not just bollocks, right? As in, it looks like the dog's bollocks?

You can say a lot of things about The Joker's new look, but metrosexual certainly isn't one of them. I can't imagine any gay man (and I know quite a few) venturing outside looking like that. As for Queer Eye, I can only imagine the guys from that show rushing off to give The Joker a makeover...

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I watched A Knight's Tale the other night. It's shit but good, if you know what I mean. Anyway, while I was watching it I just couldn't link Heath Ledger in that film to the Heath Ledger we see in the Dark Knight trailer - Heath Ledger as the joker is unrecognisable. I don't know why everyone is down on him - he's clearly a great actor who can wear many different hats and really make you believe in a character rather than 'oh, there's heath ledger'. This Joker is realistic - he's basically just a nutter who dresses up as a clown and kills people, which is what the joker would actually be were he real. No toxic waste or any of that, just a psycho in make-up, and from what I've seen Heath Ledger is going to nail his psycho in make-up role. I'm looking forward to this film.

War does not make one great.

I agree. This version of Joker, in my opinion, seems a bit more realistic than the others... If you study real-life pyschos, like John Wayne Gacy and Ed Gein, they dressed in makeup and other "items" (I'll let you research those items for yourself) when doing their heinous activities... I believe Nolan may use this element to make Ledger's Joker more sinister and believable.

Good stuff!

I HAVE TO AGREE. I LOVE THAT THEY ARE MAKING HIM MANIACAL AND RUTHLESS.

What's the timeframe of this movie? How long after Batman Begins does it take place? I don't know my Batman history, but I'm kind of surprised they're keeping the Tumbler as is. I was under the impression that it started out as a big vehicle, but then slowly progressed into a streamlined, but still kick ass, vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the Tumbler design. I actually think it looks really cool. I do kind of miss the Batmobile from Batman though. Sleek, powerful, and fast.
