Favorite Beer

Mine would have to be Shiner Bock, but I love anything made by Shiner, could be that I am biased toward it since it is a Texas beer and I love Texas. Right now I am enjoying a frosty mug of Shiner Hefeweizen. Since Shiner can tend to be on the expensive side, I do tend toward Coors Light or Keystone Light when the money runs short, or when no Shiner is available. So what's your favorite beer, or beers, and why?

Killian's Irish Red. Not sure why, I'm just rather fond of the dark stuff.

Budweiser... the REAL one. Not the piss they make in the USA.

The one from Budvar, in the Czech republic... Europe...

Heineken is probably my favourite. I'm also quite fond of Lowenbrau and Tuborg, sometimes Stella Artois; I've always felt that DAB was quite underrated, and I could never understand why Sapporo never caught on here since it basically tastes like a domestic premium brand. Schenieder Weisse' wheat beer is also quite good. Domestically I'll occassionally drink Sleeman and Creemore springs but thats about it. Beer is my favourite drink but I just can't stand the American brands, to me most of that stuff is like the McDonalds version of beer; Canada is an improvement but only by a bit.

I reckon I'll have to make a journey out to Czech myself. I grew up my whole life in a Czech town and we were the party capital of the area. I love the beer from Shiner, it was brewed with a lot of Czech influence.

Have yet to taste an american beer that tastes of proper beer.

Miller is the closest to it.

Rest tastes of dilluted cider.

What I meant is that Ricardo and you being in Texas doesn't mean you'll be easy to find. Not like Texas is Andorra or something...

Speaking of Czech beers, I just had fantastic Czech beer at lunch today, unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the label. I know a store that sells them and plan to pick up a few bottles tomorrow, if I can be bothered I might edit this post and add in the name. Usually I switch over to wine during the winter, but I have been much more in the mood for beer lately.

As for American beers... that is a very unfortunate situation. I prefer water.

I agree C3PX. Water > American Beer (those that I have tasted so far).

When it comes to what to drink, it depends on what I am doing or eating.

Actually, Dayv is pretty easy to find. He's right off the highway.

There is only one highway in Texas and only one exit?
