Well, I've been waiting now for 2 weeks to see if Rewind would update there comparison to include The Final Cut along with the Blu-ray & HD-DVD releases, but no luck yet. I guess they're waiting for the US release before updating.

I did check DVD Beaver and found out that the standard DVD is Region 1, 2, 3, 4 encoded.

I finaly decided to type "is the blu-ray release of blade runner region free" into my search engine and found this site and this site that reports the US release to be region free but couldn't find any source to back this up other than the fact that Warner's usualy release Blu-ray's as region free.

I will more than likely take the plunge and order myself the 5-disc US Blu-ray release in the coming days but if anyone can confirm if it is definatly region free for me when it's released this week, it might just save me some hastle.
