if you click on the "rapidshare" link for file 3 it will take you to the rapidshre site. scroll down to the foot of the page and click on "free". on the page it takes you to you will see a clock counting down about half way down the page. once it gets to 0 it will take you to another page. you will see a code that you have to enter. enter the code then click download. save the file to your desktop along with the others. once that is done then you can click on any of the rar files and unpack them to one large mpg file. then play the mpg file

Wasn't changing Luke's line from "that's okay I'm never coming to this planet again" to "that's okay i don't think i'll be coming back to this planet again" due to the radio drama?

My stance on revising fan edits.

No, in fact it is the actual line that Mark Hamill spoke in that shot when they filmed it. It was later re-dubbed with the new line. It is taken from the original on set audio during the cantina scene from Behind the Magic

Well I’ve downloaded the other part and no luck at all, Gremlins. I’ll try this in the new year as I’m in a sticky position at the moment where I’ll be moving address hopefully around or before (December 20th 2007), so may the rest of you enjoy the videos that adywan has made for the (original trilogy community) and a merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all and thanks for helping me out with the computer, I shall now retire from doing any more, the files are saved on the computer I shall try sometime around the New Year around March time I guess?

I need to get a my (BT) line transferred when I have moved and that can be anywhere between a several weeks, so around (December 20th 2007) I will be officially offline at home that is, until I have a new home and new telephone line.

Thanks again all you’ve all been so kind.

Just watched the Mos Eisley clips, and the only way to get it out is to do a list of things I liked:

- liked the retooled approach into Mos Eisley.
- liked how the Ronto isn't there in the first shot with the stormtroopers. It didn't strike me as intrusive when I first saw the SE (hey, I was just shy of 8!), but now it is. THX for it!
- liked the reworked aliens in the cantina.
- liked the new Luke line (I didn't know it was a different line than was said on the day of shooting).
- liked that ONLY HAN SHOOTS (that's what it should be, 'cause technically, Greedo didn't shoot in '77)!
- liked Ganleigh III (wow, sounds Star Wars-y).
- liked the view of Alderaan out of the window, because the first shot of it through the window always bugged me when I saw the DVDs. Now, it looks great AND consistent!
- LOVED the new Alderaan explosion!

An early Merry Christmas to you, Adywan!

adywan

I must apologise for the inconvenience bringing this to the thread but since I want to resolve this, and view the videos and as for your request for screen shots of the desk top here are a five steps that I took with no success at all. I must be missing a simple step here that is eluding me?

Thanks.

Welcome to the OT site Merry Christmas.

Got that right Han shot first! LOL, what was Lucas trying with that cheesy shoot out in the cantina, I’ll have to watch the special edition 1997 THX laserdisc again the extras on side 9 which is at the end of Return of the Jedi.

well i have figured out your problem straight away. you are not unpacking the file like we have explained numerous times.
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/2473/helpdc5.jpg
choose "extract here" as you first step.

YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS TO ONE OF THE FILES YOU DOWNLOADED

you will then see another file appear on your desktop. click on that and you will be able to see the video. you were still trying to play the rar files.

Okay now what do I do because I like to take small steps at a time as I’ve hardly touched the surface of the computer within the 7 years that I’ve been using one, I catch on fast in some areas and this is one area that I’m not too bright on, but I’m not a fool.

Thanks.

Click "ok'.

Or better yet start with the part1 and then extract.

Can you please continue this technical discussion of how to extract a RAR file in another way - through PM or another thread?

You'd think this whole thing would be distracting and thus further delaying the release date.

Well I must say the visual tuition has helped if I wasn’t thinking and brought up the print screen shots I’d still be chasing my tail.

Thanks.

Sorry about that.

I don’t know I guess that’s up to adywan want do you say if I meet you over in the off topic section I’ll start a thread up and see you there in a jiffy.

The title of the thread will be “How JediTemple3417 is having difficulties playing adywan video files” or is that too long…

I don't mind helping anyone out. This whole discussion could be helpful to someone else that is having problems extracting the video. After all, i do need a break from the edit now and then and it isn't going to delay the release any more than me replying to any other comments. You can't expect me to be working on it 24/7

JediTemple70mm, these are the exact names of the 3 files you should have:

mosclipnew.part1
mosclipnew.part2
mosclipnew.part3

if any of the files have a different name then you need to rename it then it will unpack fine. I noticed that for some reason part 2 has an underscore instead of a full stop.

your file looks like this:

mosclipnew_part2

when it should look like this:

mosclipnew.part2

part 1 is named correct, part 2 is wrong and i can't see part 3 so i can't comment. just check the names & rename any that aren't correct

What are you talking about now? I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I have no idea to what you are referring to.....

Whoops, didn't mean to post a blank message above!

I just wanted to say, adywan, great job on the released clips thus far. I don't agree with every change you made (Threepio looks super cheeto-gold colored in the Tantive IV hallway, and he seems to get more and less yellow as the camera changes; I also preferred when Vader's eyes were red... I loved how Episode III at least maintained some consistency with that idea), and some of the SE elements you retained still look like crap (maybe they'll look a bit better on a TV in DVD quality).

BUT, I must admit it looks much much better than the 2004 editions! Kudos for that.

It's a pity there's so much more work to be done...

I take it we're not going to get anymore never-before-seen clips between now and New Years 2008? Here I was hoping that the "Christmas suprise" was actually going to be a low quality version of the whole thing...

Ah well, the wait continues... pray you have no more hard drive failures!

How so? Vaders eyes looked black in EP3 to me.

Maybe kurgan is referring to the inside of the lenses - looking out as the helmet lowers over toasty's face

where will we be able to obtain this when it is completed. Is there a certain bit torrent site that I should becoming familiar with?

That is indeed what I'm referring to.
