Might as well do it for me too (need the entire thing since I've been so tardy about it)!

Both discs of Volume 6 are out? I only sent one set out to date, and one disc was scratched and I haven't sent out the replacement. Was the original I sent out okay and get traded?

ThatArtGuy,

I don't know if you sent to anyone else, but you did send BOTH discs to me (there are some scratches on the discs but I don't think they affect playback). The reason you did was that I helped you get WHERE ARE THEY NOW and the music video for BITCH SCHOOL in DVD quality without station watermark logos. You sent me those and the FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS which were also two discs (upconverted from their original VCD format). I let you know once the discs arrived during October and never heard back so I always assumed you were just too busy plugging away at your project.

So, do you want me to pass them on or not? I certainly don't want to step on your toes...

D'OH!!! I TOTALLY forgot I sent one to you. Please share it with everyone, by all means! It's meant to be shared and enjoyed.

Is this going to get shared to groups where people get news? Or can someone PM me also? Thanks!

So has Volume 6 (or any of the others) gotten out to people? Is it starting to filter out?

I am in the process of a trade with InvisibleWolfMan. As soon as I get a copy, I will up it to RS and since this is a special collection it should be good for fanedit.org. I will post all of the information there about it for people.

Can anybody here help me out with obtaining copies (or torrents) of the earlier volumes in this Spinal Tap Omnibus series? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For all who have newsgroup access The Spinal Tap Omnibus Vol 6 is up on alt.binaries.dvd thanks to MoveAlong. To save the people time who can't find it themselves, a link to the nzb can be found here:

http://rs226.rapidshare.com/files/79508635/STO6.nzb

There's no commercially available material on this 2 disc set, so posting the link should be okay. Enjoy!

I found it now it is resting on my hard drive. Thanks you to everyone that helped get this out! Now I need to get more dual layer discs.

Lord knows I wish I knew where as well. I think they were on Usenet, but I hadn't downloaded from binary groups in years and not sure how to get it set up again for that.

Volume 2 is still available on usenet via giganews, and should be another 50 days or so. Giganews has 200 day binary retention.

i just came across this... It looks like something pretty fantastic...

But... speaking of Luddites... I am definitely one when it comes to this stuff... I've read this entire 5 pages of this post... and I'm still thoroughly confused.

I'm fairly active on a few torrent sites, but when it comes to newsgroups, I am completely at a loss.

Is any of this available as torrents anywhere?

Hi again...

I tried to send private messages to a couple of folks who post here, but it seems even though I have "Allow Private Messages" enabled, I can't seem to send anyone anything.

So... if anyone has any more information about these way-cool sets. I would really appreciate it!

Thanx again,
~leesa

someone sent me some blanks a while back for vol6, which I was going to copy after receiving the disc from InvisibleWolfMan. Well, we never really finished that transaction (yet), so whoever sent me the discs, PM me, and we can straighten things out. We will eventually get this out to the masses, everyone just seems really busy at the moment.

also anyone, PM me if you are looking for the first 2 volumes, we can work something out. I'll probably try to get vol2 up to rapidshare soon.

Hiya:

I feel kinda invisible here. I'd really like to find out more about the Spinal Tap Omnibus. I'm a huge fan... I have some of the stuff that has been mentioned here, and I'd sure like to help this creation... but I can't get any response at all.

I've tried to contact people in this forum with no luck at all... I've put other poster's names into the "Send a Private Message to" engine and the same window just refreshes with no place to leave a message.

So, I'll leave my email: leesagrrl@yahoo.com

Thanx,
~leesa

Hi again:

I'm having crappy Private Messages issues here... not sure why (on a Mac... Safari... maybe?) so I can't seen to contact anyone. I'm very interested in getting these cool Omnibus discs... but I'm not really sure how to go about it.

I've checked around and none of them seem to have been posted on any torrent groups I frequent... and I'm pretty gosh darn ignorant to using the newsgroups... so i am definitely at a loss.

If anyone has any info, please try me at leesagrrl@yahoo.com.

Has anyone checked stage6.com? there are some nice divx Spinal Tap thangs there.

Thanx,
~leesa

Hi folks

I'm late to the party I'm afraid, but I'd love to get these. If they are still being produced I may even have some material that has not been included so far.

I managed to obtain Vol 6 via some groups where people read news, but the others seem to be long gone.

If anyone else can help me please PM or email me at dustyvalentino@hotmail.com. :)

I did recieve the first two volumes from a very nice member here... but I'd love to get Volume 6.

I am on a Mac and I have never used newsgroups, so I had no luck getting the .nzp file to work.

Volumes 1 & 2 would be a bit iffy to post on "legitimate" torrent sites, but I could certainly put Volume 6 up at demonoid as soon as I get it... if that's what ThatArtGuy wants.
