For Halloween (as in Michael Myers) buffs...

Greetings, fellow 'Weeners! I just recently purchased the Halloween movies on DVD (ALL of them), and I noticed that Halloween II had a bunch of scenes from the TV cut that weren't put into the DVD release and, of course, The Curse Of Michael Myers is without its Producer's Cut scenes. I know the original had scenes added for TV, but I was able to get these, anyway, as I bought the OOP 1999 limited edition two-disc set that included them (brand new for $45?!).

To get the scenes for Halloween II, I'm in the process of downloading the fan-edited Halloween II: The Ultimate Cut. It has the TV scenes AND the violence of the theatrical cut. After that, I'll download the Producer's Cut and splice it with my DVD to maximize its length (using as many scenes from both as the narrative will allow).* My question for you guys: are there any other scenes that have been in various TV edits and bootlegs that haven't been released on the official DVDs? If so, where can I find them?

*Unfortunately, I'm having to get them off of Rapidshare, which means I have to wait 3+ hours after downloading each 100MB before I can download the next segment. I tried looking for tricks to get around it, but the only way to do that is to give them money, which ain't happening. *sigh* Such is the life of a fan-editing cheapskate.

Thanks man for the link, you had me scared there for a minute,I am a HUGE Halloween (Michael Myers) Fan,and I thought I might have missed a DVD release, but I just checked,I have that, phew!
I have been buying every single thing that gets released LOL,just like the Star Wars DVD's.

and about your edits, the Producers Cut is watchable to the die hard fan,it is not all that bad,but FAR from great, and the H2 Ultimate Cut is a vhs rip,so you will notice HUGE quality drops if you cut those scenes into your DVD.

I'm not going to edit the H2UC, since that's already been spliced together. I'll only be editing the H6PC together with CoMM. I noticed there's a PC for H2O. Anything new there?

I've also heard the H2O PC referred to as the workprint, so could you tell me about that? In fact, how do all the versions of H7 and H8 compare?

I am a huge fan of the original. I went to see Rob Zombie's Halloween on opening day, and I wanted to like it. But I think he missed the point. He made a movie about a psychopath, not the Boogyman. Does that make sense? The thing that worked for the original is the mystery surrounding the Michael Myers character. 6 years old - 21 years old. What happened in between, and why is he the way he is?

I'm not just a Halloween fan, but a fan of John Carpenter. I love his movies. Anyone else here a Carpenter fan?

PSYCHO_DAYV, would you please stop shouting? I can't hear myself think!

As for RZ's Halloween, let's just say that the Unrated Director's Cut better be a massive improvement.

clears throat

I liked Halloween II ('81) better than the original.

Not saying I don’t like H78 (far from it), but there’s just something about H2 I like just a little bit better.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.
