Gee, lordjedi is arguing with me again. What a fucking surprise. Seriously, it's one thing to hate my ass openly, it's another thing to argue against everything I say regardless of any basis in fact. It only goes to strengthen my arguments overall when you chime in. Okay, school's in, kiddies:

1) Read up on the Piracy Deterrence and Education Act of 2003, the Direct Connect Sting and Operation D-Elite. Then get back to me on how the FBI is not doing any of the P2P surfing themselves. Warning ... the latter has ACTUAL STAR WARS CONTENT for all you Elitist Star Wars Fanboy Dipshites [sic].

2) Unless you think he's hanging out in Dearborn, MI, please explain to all of us why Bin Laden remains on the FBI's most wanted list if they're not actually looking for him. You know, it's not just the CIA's job; the FBI does operate internationally to catch criminals who have acted on domestic soil. And Bin Laden indeed has indeed perpetrated criminal actions on our soil (please argue against me on that). The FBI is integral to the War on Terror abroad. But don't take it from me, take it from Dubya hisownself.

So I obstinately stick by my guns (just like anybody who still supports Bush) and I reiterate that the FBI needs to focus more of its energy on capturing Bin Laden and not so much on shutting down P2P networks. And for the record, I don't use P2P networks. I merely have a sense of priority.

Did you even read the links you provided? Only ONE, the second ONE, mentions ONE FBI agent becoming a member of that underground network. The last one says at the BOTTOM that the MPAA assisted. To me, that says the MPAA saw it and reported it. The first one is just the text of a bill that grants the FBI the ability to ENFORCE the law. You want to get pissy about that? Blame Congress, not the FBI.

Since I HIGHLY doubt the FBI is over in Pakistan or Afghanistan looking for bin Laden, he's on the most wanted list so that if people or agents see him in the USA, he'll be arrested on the spot. The FBI doesn't do nearly as much work abroad as the CIA. That's the CIAs job. Yeah, the FBI are instrumental because they can operate across state lines, unlike local police.

I think everybody here knows that 10 people were arrested in connection with the early released copy of ROTS that showed up on bittorrent sites. Both of the links you provided that they did indeed raid the offices of those guys, but only the last link mentions a single FBI agent becoming a member. That's no different from covertly joining a mob group in order to take down the whole group. But I guess they shouldn't do that either, should they.

For the record, I would've given the same reply to anyone else that made a statement like that. Unfortunately for you, it's always you that makes those statements.
