It isn't as much of a carefully guarded secret as you might think. I have never seen the film myself, but I new Lucas produced it.

As far as Star Wars overloaded with merchandise, that is an understatment. The market is flooded with Star Wars crap. I think things are easier to enjoy when you are not bombarded by them everytime you leave the house. I like the fact that Indiana Jones is popular, has a fantastic DVD release, and some neat niche merchandise that rather than flooding the toy section of Wal-Mart, remain confined to comic shops and SunCoast stores. With the release of the new film I am affraid marketing is going to go nuts, maybe not as bad as SW, but just the fact that there is a Lego Indy on the way... oh well.
