I have always tried to take a life lesson from Empire Strikes Back in waiting situations like these. Luke left Dagobah too quickly. He should have been patient as Yoda instructed. Had he been patient, he would have discovered that Leia and company escape without his help and he becomes the person they have to go back for, endangering all of their lives - "If you leave now help them you could but...you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered." Ady, I am glad to hear that you are being patient and not shooting off for Cloud City prematurely.
The edit will be all the better for it, anniversaries be damned. In fact, I don't recall good things happening on any Star Wars anniversary year. In 1997 we got the lousy SEs. In 1987 we got a Hamilton Collectors Plate collection and a poster (not bad, but kinda lackluster too). In 1992 (15th), we got a few reprinted posters. In 2002 (25th), we got Attack of the Clones - bleck!!!! I almost went blind that day.
It bodes WELL that the Revisited edit is not taking place on an anniversary year.

Im sorry this is totally offtrack but I just have to comment about the ending in ESB. If Luke did not come to Bespin, Vader would not have had his entire attention on Luke , and therefore could have been the reason for the others to make an escape. Once Vader knew Luke had taken the "bait," Vaders attention completely shifted to Luke, He was Vader's main objective. Luke enabled the others to escape and in turn rescue him. I dont mean to sound like I had to make you wrong I just always thought of it like that, always good to hear other peoples opinion about these movies though, it often gives me a fresh look at them.
Ady I know you would do what you think is best but I agree completely with giving yourself more time to provide the best release you could rather than try and make a deadline
