It was the only way I could think of to separate the audio and video tracks. Is there a better (or faster) way? I'm still new to the editing scene (well, experience-wise, anyway).
You just had to say it, didn't you
? I suppose I'll just have to put editing off for another week or so and let it finish. On that note, say my computer decides to be a dick and crashes before the re-encoding is finished. Would there be any way to pick up where I left off, or would I have to start all over again? On another subject, I can't believe I said DVD4
. I was thinking in terms of gibibytes.

There's not much in it, the '06 DVD is better in some respects, but some LD transfers show a slight improvement in certain areas.

Impossible to answer without knowing your PC specs.
2.41 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE.

DVD5? Anyway, the official Region 1 DVD has terrible edge-enhancement - if you find this unbearable then it's definitely worth using WG's video.

Overall, though, which transfer would you give the edge to? I know that's a deceivingly simple question, but I'm just asking your opinion. I'd like to hear from anyone else who cares to share, as well.
