I agree. But after seeing what Sam Raimi did with Venom after Venom was basically forced on him, I'd rather they not force the Penguin on Chris Nolan.

i am so dreading that this movie is going to suck hardcore. how can you follow up such a good film like batman begins.

plus we have brokeback joker, and a batsuit that frickin looks like robocop wtf?

I, personally, am disappointed (but I kind of suspected it) with the designs... anyone, I mean it, ANYONE could get this make-up on and be the Joker (I'm talking in terms of the looks, not the acting). Could have easily been Elijah Wood, Tom Cruise, Eric Bana... ANYONE!


yeah sure, I get the whole "realistic" approach with the Batcave... but this is killing the mood! In movies, mood matters a lot.

Yeah, I think they should have taken a "Tim Burton" approach to the look of the Joker, but with an obviously more homicidal and crazier attitude, of course.

Hmm, wasn't the look of the batcave established in the first movie? I thought it looked great back there, why the major change? Here it just looks like an empty warehouse with a low ceiling. Are they trying to cut down on the budget or something. Does this Joker even have a deformity?

so was katie holmes really fired as chris nolan says or she turned it down as her publicity people said?

the have that character in this film with a different actress.

people hate tom cruise and tomkat so much they were distracted by her being in the last film.

i have heard of proposed fan edits where they completely remove her from the film batman begins.

I don't think those pics are of the Batcave. Wayne Manor is being rebuilt and Bruce is living in a penthouse in Gotham. But we'll see.

You're judging based on pics that were taken on-set, not based on actual shots from the film, so any cinematographic lighting choices etc are not accurately represented. I'd hold off until you see at least a trailer.

And I'm not worried - everyone I've talked to that's been on set or has seen shooting downtown when it was still here (Chicago) says not to worry, and those images aren't representative of the mood of the film at all.

In short, it'll be worth it. And if it turns out to be shit, well, I'll be the first to admit that, but I'm staying optimistic.

Yeah, I agree, hopefully these shots are the beginnings, maybe partway through the film he becomes the Joker we all know and love.

I have complete faith in this film. If you're getting your knickers in a twist over whether or not the Joker wears makeup vs chemical bleaching, I have two words for you:

I was only saying, not quite nitpicking. Yeah, he looks good, I just wanted to throw that out there.
I, too, am looking forward to this after having just gotten back into Batman (TAS on tv again helps.)
