I wish I could remember the Atari SW games. I haven't played them in over 15 years even though I own a 2600 right now (I haven't found any SW games for it at either a reasonable price or in a winning auction.

I don't load games on my computer. Games are notorious for crashing computers and I need my computer for work. If it crashes, I'm out of work. So I minimize the risk by not putting any on there. Games stay on my Atari, my Gameboy, and my PS2.

The Empire Strikes Back game is the best! Return of the Jedi Death Star Battle is a close second. I have 'em both for Atari 2600. Still works and is lots 'o' fun!

I only remember playing some Star Wars game at my buddy's Commodore C-64, but thanks to various Internet sites devoted to vintage games/computers (these were actually overgrown calculators ) I managed to "extend my memories", if you know what it means...
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

Coffee, is the ESB game the one where you're flying around like in Defender (from the same point of view) and you just keep attacking AT-ATs? If so, I do remember that one and did like it.

I always like Yars Revenge, Burgertime, and Q-Bert (the last two of which I still need to find on 2600).

True. And I admit that Windows is notorious for crashing computers. But I was just referring to the fact that you need to make sure you have all these different bits and pieces for your computer for a game to work. Whereas with a PS2, you buy it and you play it. 'Nuff said.

And that's why my games stay on my Atari/Gameboy/PS2.

What does anyone think of those older game compilations that are out for the PS2?

I think they are great because I don’t have an Atari or a ColecoVision but it still gives you the opportunity to play the classics.

I love the compilations and I have about three of them (one for PS1 and two for PS2). What's great about them is that my wife, who is not a videogame nut, will play these with me because she remembers them from her old Atari days as a kid.

awesome! i love chicks that can take the 15-20 minutes out of their time and - usually - get beaten by us and then either get hooked and get mad - which is awesome to see - or just laugh at it.

No need to let her win, though. She was so adept at the old 2600 games that she still kicks ass in them. Particularly River Raid.
