I refurbished my NES for $8 including shipping. I can't believe how well it works now! It is JUST like new, no exaggeration. That thing had 'blinking red light' so bad that I thought my copy of Super Mario Brothers 3 was broken because no matter what I did I could never get it to work while other games would. So SMB 3 was the first game I tried, I plugged it in, and turned it on, and it played without a hitch.

I just replaced the connector inside the system. I got a brand new one off ebay for $8 including shipping. They are plentiful on ebay if anybody wants a functioning Nintendo again I can reassure you this is the way to go. I was considering buying a top loading NES II, but the original front loading unit is a lot cooler. Alright, I am going to go waste some time on Duck Hunt now.
