Yeah, but did any of us really take that seriousy back then? Back then it seemed more of a "the films are back in print, get them while you can before they disappear!"

I DID take GL seriously when the "one last time" campaign was rolled out, I guess because I'd heard that the SEs were coming in a couple of years. I bought the Faces VHS tapes back in '95, but of course at that time I really didn't know what to expect from the SEs as they weren't really giving out a whole lot of info. I'd assumed that most of it was going to be just digital clean-up of FX, but I also heard rumors about a digital Jabba being put somewhere (to replace the original Jabba in ROTJ, I assumed). That gave me a bad feeling about what was to come.

When I finally saw the SEs in '97, I panicked and got the LDs too.
