You're all going to laugh at me, but the only way I could previously capture these clips was to set my VHS-C camcorder on the desk and record them off the computer screen....

I was actually shocked at how good the video came out (aside from the occasional scrolling line), the sound was ok- a bit tinny, but clear enough.
