There's a lesson to be learned from Star Trek: Nemesis, and that is what happens when you put the WRONG people in control, People who just don't understand what an audience wants [John Logan / Stuart Baird / Brent Spiner's ego]. There are so many interesting plots and themes explored in star trek and yet in this big screen adaptation we get a mindless action flick that recycles previous plot lines without anything new or interesting to say. Even a great actor like Patrick Stewart struggles to make this film entertaining.

This may well be the case for Clone Wars, there was talk early on about how George was starting to become more involved in production that he had planned to, I wasn't suprised by this and actually a little worried. History has dictated that the less control George has over his own project the better the outcome.

George is still the same guy he always was, It takes a lot of revisions, compromises and collaborations to transform his hack writing and stolen ideas into something interesting. without all that you have something akin to the prequel trilogy. I hope the series is good, or at least watchable, But I have my doubts. and I'm sure the network execs do as well.
