Yeah, I did always think it was weird that Shorty just disappeared from the story like that. Maybe it wouldn't have been convenient to have him tagging along all the time, but can you imagine how that broke his little heart when his beloved Dr. Jones just took off without him.

Or maybe back in America social services heard about all the dangerous situations Indy was putting his young ward in and said, "Uh-uh..."
