OMG, please tell me this is NOT true - "I am your father" dialogue...

I was having a debate on another message board about the “I am your father” quote. This person claimed the line was, “No, LUKE I am your father.” I replied, there is NO Luke in that quote and then he said this…

"In the new Collector’s Edition of the original trilogy that is being released next year on Blu-Ray, George Lucas has again made several changes to the films. In this case, he has re-recorded the iconic phrase and it now reads: “No, Luke. I am your father, Luke.”

Please tell me this is made up, because that would be a crime, IMO to redub one of the most important lines of dialogue in cinematic history.

George Lucas was seduced by the dark side. The OOT ceased to exist in his mind and became the Special Editions...." "They're more maching now than movies. Twisted and evil."

The only reason I think its false is that I don't think that Lucasfilm has chosen BlueRay yet, and the SW movies are definitely not coming out next year in HD until the format war is settled. If this was for a Standard DVD release then I believe Lucas is definitely more machine then man now, twisted and evil!

Okay, this person claimed they were just trying to be funny. I had just woken up so I was really out of it.

If he was actually going to make changes, I'd imagine that there would be more extensive ones done, and there would be rumblings about it.

LOL!

Well, he DID change Darth Vader's original "bring my shuttle" dialogue in ESB......

Hehe I can just imagine Lucas one day deciding that that particular line wasn't what he originally intended it to be, and decides that it would be a great improvement to add the word "Luke" into the line. Something he was unable to do during the filming of the movie due to time/budget/technology restraints of the day.

Well... since the line uttered on the filming set was "Ben was your father"... maybe we should expect some changes after all?
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

I've always loved how "BRING MY SHUTTLE" went to "Contact the Star Destroyer and arrange to have Shuttle 3 sent to my landing pad because I don't really like Shuttle 2 and Shuttle 1 is under repair and ensure they park at landing pad 6B because I plan to buy some salted peanuts and an icy beverage before my ascent to the mothership".

I dunno, I kind of preferred his business-like, "I'm pissed off" approach in the OOT.
