I have a question. I am trying to burn a fan film I downloaded for a friend awhile ago. It's in the format of a Video_TS folder. Normally, for single layers, I just add a Audio_TS folder to the same directory, and then burn it using imgburn under the build mode. It works fine for the Single layer discs that come as a Video_TS folder.
However, when I try to burn the Dual Layer fan fil, I downloaded for him, it keeps asking me for a layer break, and wants me to choose one. Wouldn't the DVD have been authored with a Layer break, since it was authored as a DL DVD9 (5.11GB)? It has an option that says "Don't update IFO/BUP files," one for "Seamless," and "ignore layer break options." I know the ignore button ignores all layer break info found and it says it "is not suitable for DL media, so ignore that button. For "Seamless" it says "only enable this option if you know for a fact your player does not need the layer break cell to be marked as non-seamless." For the "Don't Update IFO/BUP files option, it says "only enable this option if the IFO/BUP files have been prepared in advance with the nessessary layer break information."
Last, it lists like 17 options for layer break info. I think I can only choose one. It lists 17 options for me to click under "create layer break." It lists them as a table, with (from left to right) the catgories being "LBA, Padding, %, File/VTS, LU, PGC, Cell, VC/ID, Time, and SPLIP" Honestly, all these numbers and stuff under those doesn't mean a thing to me, and it lists them all as "average"
I am lost at what to do at this point. There are so many options, which seem to be at all different spots on the disc. How do I know what to choose, or is this the wrong program to burn with? I mean, I thought the layer break would have been authored into it, and if thats the case, wouldn't doing this screw that up?
If there's a better program out there to use, please suggest it and how I burn the Daul Layer with it.
I am sorry to ramble on about this, but I have confused and second guessed myself too much. I figured at that point it's better to ask for help.
Thanks to anyone who helps. I am trying to burn this to a disk soon so I can clear some HD space. I'm running out. If it helps, it's the fan film Star Trek- Borg War the Movie (a machinima project).
