This thread got me thinking, s I looked around while I was @ Fr7y's Electronics @ Blu-Ray and HD-DVD's. If I were to buy one or the other format during the format wars, I'd look at a few things. They both have exclusives that interest me, so either way I'm able to get only 50% of the movies I want in HD format. Although Blu-Ray may be ahead, I really wouldn't want to spend the extra $$ on a blu-ray player, seeing as it hasn't won yet. At $300 for the player, there are enough HD-DVD movies I'd want out there to make it worth my time to swing for it (if I had a 56" HDTV, lol), even if it looses in the end. I mean, I could get an HD-DVD player and buy 10 HD-DVD movies for the same price as the cheapest Blue-Ray player (PS3). I suppose toshiba's loss leader marketing may not work with everyone, but it's caught my attention.
