InfoDroid, I was reading some of your comments on the FanEddit.org boards and you said:

@ss4johnny: I've seen Attack of the Phantom, and in my opinion, it's the best fan-edited handling of the love story yet...however I don't think it goes far enough.

I think it's absolutely right in implying that Anakin & Padme started a physical relationship at that point. It just seems right for the characters when you see how they behave later in the story. The whole on-again/off-again thing was totally implausible. I mean, these two need to be Tristan & Isolde, Romeo & Juliet, Adam & Eve in space...insanely in love with each other from the start. The drama lies in the fact that it's forbidden love...they're sinning...eating of the fruit...whatever you want to call it. And in the end they pay the ultimate price for trying to keep it a secret.

They are kept apart because of their situation...because of circumstances...because of Jedi dogma and the politics of the galaxy. Not because Padme is creeped out by him and "uncomfortable"...blah blah blah...

You throw the hesitation in there and it just doesn't work at all. And it's unfortunate it was handled this way by Lucas because the love story is the key to Anakin's ultimate fall. It's his intense, passionate love for Padme that drives him to turn to the Dark Side.

That's why in Reborn, we're taking it a step further and using elements from other films (like Hayden's love scene with Sienna Miller in Factory Girl and others), we've actually created a love scene that didn't exist...the kiss on the balcony is no longer interrupted by Padme's hesitation...instead, it deepens and leads to a scene that does a lot more than imply that they may have slept together. Don't worry, nothing too explicit... Might be a little PG-13 (but less explicit than Titanic).

What if you cut out the part in the elvator where Anikan says "I haven't seen her in 10 years", and then make their awkardness around each other in the next apartment scene come across like they have been seeing each other for a while and now that they are together in front of a jedi and it is Obi-Wan it is kind of uncomfortable for them. This is something that really happens. Two people hook up and don't tell their parents then when the two people are together around the parents it is extremely awkard.

This would also make the audience then realize that their might already be something between these two, and they don't want the jedi to know. This could imply that they are already together, and possibly physical.

Then later that night when Anikan is talking to Obi-Wan about Padme, and Obi-Wan says "You took an oath, an oath not easily broken" in the apartment the audience would then think "Oh, that is why it was so awkard for them."

Then later with the new love scene you created it would let the audience know that yes they are physical, and it would seem more natural because you know they have been together for a while before the start of the film.

Hope what I am trying to explain makes sense.
