From TF.N: "the December 2003 issue of the British movie mag HOTDOG has just hit the stands here in the U.S. and found several cool Star Wars related things. In particular, on page 12, here's this possibly amazing passage: "No wonder Peter "Chewbacca" Mayhew is smiling. Not only has he been rescued from obscurity and given the chance to reprise his role as our Wookiee comrade for Episode III, but his contract also stipulates that he'd be required to appear in Episodes 7, 8, and 9. Yes folks, seems there are actual whispers at Lucasfilm that the 'sequel' trilogy might be in the works..." "
Reactions? Think it's really possible? Wondering how much CG will be used? I'M ABOUT TO BUST! I am Oobi-Doo Benubie. I have the silliest name in the galaxy.
But he didn't make a script for 1,2, or 3 and is clearly making them up as he goes. The last rumour was that Spielberg would be writing directing these anyways. I don't think it will happen, I don;t want it to happen, but it would not surprise me if it did.
Sean, did you mean that he wrote the scripts for 7, 8, and 9 instead of 8, 9, and 10 like you said? If it was your way, they would be skipping episode 7.

I dunno. I actually kinda like 2 better than 1. I just liked the baddies better. I know I've put this quote in another post a while ago, but here goes anyway...

he probably got a outline of what he wants for episodes 7,8,9... to be honest what better start than to have all the Zahn book-trilogy in that order? luke getting into the dark side, meeting mara jade, falling in love with her, being release from the dark side by leah, setting the jedi counsil again, destroying palpatine's clone, meeting other possible jedis....
amazing the epic scale, and who better than Zahn, GL and Spielberg to bring this forth..forget about indy and lets make the best trilogy ever....even better than the original...and this time for real!
i, for one, wouldnt like to see any episode 7-9, although IF (a REALLY big "if" coz i doubt it) he decided to make, i would still watch them, but i seriously doubt he will make any.
You can't replace the original actors with new ones because it's just not right. And few, if any, of the originals (who showed their faces) will return for more. Fisher won't do it. Hamill doesn't show his face in front of the camera unless covered by a mask or makeup due to his skin graft scars showing. Ford likely won't although his recent career moves prove that he needs any boost he can get. Guinness is dead. Williams might return.
