Star Wars Begins
or more importantly
Star
Wars
Begins
- it keeps the consistency of the familiar graphic design logo
- it has the air of Batman Begins (for better or worse) to tell us that we will be witnessing "where it all began" (ie the birth of the phenomenon rather than the saga itself)
- it also has that wonderfully weird and (by-now) welcome confusion of the "SW stories timeline against their eventual release" situation that we have all experienced from the SW franchise (ie it gives us the air of potentially being the last "tribute treatment" given to the first movie ever made for the trilogy)
- as a result, it has that "circle of life" *groan* feeling of our love of SW coming right back to the beginning and (ironically) is just in time for its 30th anniversary (and could be labelled as such with an amount of subtelty, if not thanking GL for being the dominant "force" in some of our lives).
I like the idea of Jambe creating an alternative script subtitle track (and from first-hand knowledge, I know this sort of thing takes a week or more of full-time work just to create for an hour's worth). I'm wondering what other subtitle tracks could be generated that would provide some interesting anecdotes or factoids (like "Whoops, see the Stormtrooper hit his head on the door"), and especially when the behind-the-scenes stuff kicks in (like "It took xx weeks and a crew of 50 to create Luke's home and temperatures reached 50 degrees" etc etc) ... I'm just guessing here. And I would suggest that somebody else do these since Jambe is already at peak capacity, although this would delay the project even further. Any got any ideas for extra subs, even just so we could dream?
Hopefully after this production has been completed, we as 35yo+ adults may begin to loosen our grip a little bit on our obsession with all things SW ... surely there can be nothing else we can "discover" about this franchise until GL finally releases all other unseen material to the public. I thoroughly look forward to seeing this production.
