I think there would be a delay if you tried to sync up a HD movie with the PAL version. Like canofhumdingers said, PAL has a speed-up of 4% and NTSC only has a speed-up of 0.1%.

I don't think there would be a perceptible delay with HD vs NTSC (I'm not sure, though, so I defer to the other members of the forum who are experts in this field).

But, it begs the question- why would you want to play the NTSC and HD versions of a movie simultaneously?
