First off, sorry about the blank post. Accident. Secondly, the deleted scenes referred to were only available on the Behind the Magic CD-ROM, they were not anamorphically encoded, lacked post-production sound and were not of a quality standard that is acceptable for Adywan's project. Now, I'm not trying to speak for the master editor in the slightest, but I would think that given he is removing the Jabba scene entirely (a good choice in my humble opinion) I think the intent of the edit is to bring all of the original film's potential to the surface, not try to add in every scrap of deleted material that is out there - I mean, would that also include the silent, black and white scenes of Luke at the moisture vaporator? I would hope not.

Again, I am not speaking for anyone but myself, but given the polished level of quality in both the edit and picture detail, I would think the deleted scenes are staying deleted.
