Why would Lucas miss the biggest marketing opportunity for Star Wars this decade by not releasing the mega set on the anniversary date? Why wait 4 months and then release the DVDs.....you don't need a degree in sales and marketing to know that was a major boo-boo....

I see what you are saying, but retail always fairs better when it goes after the Christmas season/shoppers. If SW was released on its Anniv. date, you are really only catering to the fans. But if you release it to the Christmas shoppers, you have a great opportunity not only for the fans but for the somebody's to pick it up who normally wouldn't because they are buying it for somebody else.

And yes, I fee that SW is totally saturated at this point but that is a whole other issue LOL

I still think that this will be a typical Lucas fast one where they say they won't but still do, and we WILL see the OOT again sometime very soon.
