Right, back on topic. I'm all for taking the petition in a new direction; what we should - nay, need - to ask for is a totally remastered OT without the color problems that plagued the OT '04 DVD. Has anyone here asked Lucas personally about the SE's? The thing is, Lucas knows that we hate it, just not why. I mean, I recall hearing he wanted to do new Flash Gordon serials (or a movie) before he did SW, but not having the rights; the analogy (right word?) I'm trying to make here, is that if someone were to ask him what he would say if the changed Flash Gordon in a SE way, I'd bet you he'd make the kind of response most of us here make to the SE's. I have not seen any flash gordon serials, movies, comics etc., but if anyone could come up with a critical moment - and ask him something like "what if so-and-so had shot first" or something, I think that might have some effect on him. But then again, maybe he'd just get angry; I don't know.
