And yeah to follow on with what Marvolo is saying, who's to say Anakin's entire body falls into the lava? I guess a little imagination is required from the audience in that we see him go over the edge, we hear him screaming in pain and the next time we see him he's a burnt crisp on the river bank missing some limbs.

Maybe he uses the dark side to protect himself, maybe he just gets lava on him rather than taking a full bath. Either way, I think it could look better than the one swash from Obi's saber and voila, he's 3 limbs down!

We get the added bonus too of Obi-Wan not coming off like so much of an @rsehole, leaving his former friend to smoulder and die.

And GoodMusician, I'm sure with you're editing proweress you could seemlessly move between the 2 different pieces of audio. From one musician to another, nothing is impossible.
