I was kinda afraid of leaving out the promanade shot because I felt that since its the first time we've seen that space in the day time, people might not know exactly where it is. So I left just a hint of that establishing shot in. I didn't think it was too short but perhaps it is... I was trying to only leave a little, removing most of the camera movement... that's kinda why it's short.

2) Instead of cutting to Mustafar as Obi-Wan enters his ship, it cuts back to a shot of Padme sitting on the couch, her head hanging.

This works extremely well. However, going back to the shot of the pramanade is, again, very jarring. Why is Obi's ship just sitting there? I think it works well to end the scene with the shot of Padme. We see her thinking about all that Obi Wan has told her, and then, in the very next scene, we see what she has decided to do.

My first change to this sequence was always the removing of the cut back to Mustfar, and replacing it with her sitting there thinking. Also, I knew I wanted to move the establishing shot (reverse it) and place it at the end so that it pulled away...sort of showing how alone she is. Obviously, I can't animate OBi-Wan's ship so that's why it sits there... if I could, I would have it fly away lol...

I see what you mean in both cases though...

4) As the ship exits frame, I insert 2 new shots:
- The first from Episode III during the exchange between Padme in her residence and Anakin in the Jedi Temple
- The second from Episode I showing the elapse of time
(The film then cuts back in at the establishing shot of the Senate Building)

These shots flow into each other well. It feels very natural. Nicely done!

Glad you liked it. I went through several versions, pulling out shots from all three films and trying to figure out the best way to do it. Originaly, I had a version where, instead of showing the Jedi Temple from the psychic exchange, it showed Padme's residence... which had a slight zoom in to it, but when I reversed it, it pulled out obviously... but I thought it might be more apropro showing the temple alone in the distance, no longer smoking... reminding us that Padme was going to see Anakin, and what Anakin had done.

10) I cut the line "You cannot stop me. Darth Vader will become more powerful than you or I etc." through to Yoda's line about having too much faith in his apprentice and the dark side.

Yes yes! Moving straight to the fight actually works better in this case. I wish there was a way to take out Yoda's flip...

I always wanted to keep his line "You cannot stop me," just to show his arrogance, but I couldn't cut to anything except yoda jumping at him which by then, it would seem too late for him to pull out his lightsaber and even then, I'd have nothing to cut to so I had to remove the whole speaking section.

Part 2 is being delayed because I did a windows update and now in my editing program, it won't let me see the video aspect of the videos (I can hear the audio) but I can't see the video.. .which, needless to say, makes video editing quite difficult... lol

Even then, I can't export anything except audio.

It's pretty much done and I'd REALLY love to get some input from you guys on how I re-edited the whole battle sequence becuase I completely re-did that and I'm really happy with how it flows.

I'll keep you updated.
