You smell what I'm stepping in Ady. In the rebel hanger, It's all human. You'd think there' be different species from different worlds joining the alliance.

I kind of lean in the opposite way... one of the reasons the original trilogy worked so well (at least the first two movies) was that it was mostly human. The war was man vs man.. which is very identifiable with audiences. Aliens were put in to add in a little bit of flavor... Chewy was more or less a lovable, trusty dog sidekick. In contrast the prequels had dopey-jamican-frogs vs robots... , clones in white armor vs robots, wookies vs robots, ...who cares.

Though it would be funny if you rigged up Ackbar in an X-Wing as gold leader... just as he's about to be blown up by vader's tie... "It's a trap!"
