Yes, it does. (on all four sides.)

Also note that the image of the SE is slightly squashed, distorting the image. (causing people's face's to appear thin and long...)

I sent fanfiltration a PM, but reckon I'll just ask here as well. I'm really hoping this project comes together - but I'm also thinking I'll track down the best version of the "international cut" on Laserdisc as well, since I've got a player. I'm wondering - which version is the best to get? Can anyone provide an image of the cover so I know which I'm after?

I'm also wondering, has anyone done a version of Never Say Never Again with better music added? The disc introduction and the lask of any backing music for the bulk of the film really kills it - a better audio might save the film.

Just an update.

The friend who had done most of the Fremen "blue within blue eye" work on my FanFiltration DUNE edit is now working on the color correction for this Thunderball preservation. Lets hope his efforts will enhance this project. He understands that this is a preservation and I know that he will do his best to respect the original intent of the film makers vision.

This film needs respect!

this is great too see this project come together, maybe you could add a documentary on the making of . .. as long as it doesn't delay the release. Fan, imma fan

the making of is on the new official u.e. of thunderball and on the previous special edition release. if you look earlier in the thread fanfiltration said it was not his desire to make stuff available that was already out officially since he supports the official dvd releases.

I am not trying to be an jerk but it is also against this sites rules to ask for stuff that is already officially a release on dvd, so i suggest you support the filmakers by actually buying the official release.

no, no you miss understood. I was saying make a making of, the making of this edit of his. It was kinda a joke in saying, it's taken him some time and research and a little 5 minute short on how he put it together . . . that's all. Thought it would be fun.

I like this idea a lot! In fact, for some time now I've been thinking of including a Fan Editor commentary track on all my future fan edit releases.

This "Thunderball" project has been nothing but problems from the start. The color timing is being adjusted at this stage...

I can't stress enough how important it is for me to release the best possible preservations.

Any news on this project?

I tracked down the laserdisc - thanks for the pointers! I watched half last night, it was great to see the film without the missing bottom and right on my SE DVD, and got a couple of the extra lines. Out of all the laserdiscs I've seen the transfer on it is pretty good, although some of the colours seemed out - reds in particular were overly vibrant. This could of course could be partly due to my player (S315). Anyhow, still very eager to see this project finally released.

Are there any other unique James Bond laserdiscs asside from this, and the banned bond commentaries on Dr No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger?

WE NEED THIS!

Does anyone have a copy of BONDAGE MAGAZINE #10 "THUNDERBALL SPECIAL"?
And if so, would you be willing to scan us some pages?

We want to get this project out, but feel we are still a bit short in the extras department.

Looks like the link is dead, can you post the pic elsewhere?

How about the exclusive video extras form the first 3 Criterion Bond laserdisc, the bread commercials etc, cleaned up a bit?

There's been no updates on this thread for a long time. How far is the project by now?

I think fan commentaries are an excellent idea. Not should they only talk about the making of these projects, but also any interesting inside stories that are left untold in the crew commentaries and things like that.
