Congratulations on recovering so much of the data, adywan! I'm really glad that you didn't lose all of your work. Like I said, I've been there, and I know how much it stinks (that's a bit of an understatement, actually).

Anyways, yes, I too would like to know how much money you think this is going to cost. Are you going Firewire or USB? I've found that external drives (in particular, ones from Western Digital) have been going on sale a lot these days -- stores like Best Buy seem to have a sale on them almost every week. If it would help, it might also be possible for one of us in the US to get you the drives if there was a fantastic deal on them that you couldn't get in the UK, and then ship them to you . . . of course, we'd have to worry about packing them reeeeeeeeally well, but it's just a thought. Whatever it takes to get you the equipment you need, for the best price, in the fastest time, right?
