well ideally, with everything that has happened, i'm looking to get 2 hard drives. 1 to replace the faulty one and the second to be used as a removable drive with copies of all the finished footage & important files.

thanks everyone for your support. I'm not going to give up on the edit, i just felt really depressed yesterday after a totally bad day. I've come too far to give up at this point, and now that it looks very unlikely we are going to get the ultimate box set any time soon, i'm even more determined.
