I'm sure Meedermow has either sent me off a copy or will do so once DOTD #3 and #4 are done. I'm one of the few aussies here on the board (in the fanedit/preservation subforums anyway) and I'd be happy to get some stuff to you. If you're not entirely new to this send your trade list to klokwerk[at]gmail(dot)com. I don't mind PIFing the Alien Archive disc but maybe we can expand each others' collections.

Hey Klok. I doubt I have anything you haven't got, but you're welcome to anything I've got.

I am "entirely new" though, so all I've accumulated so far is the three Alien Appendices, Deleted Magic, Building Emp, Returning to Jedi, Supes Redeemed, Twilight Zone TM, Monster Squad, and I just got the TV cut of Needful Things. (But the 2nd disc seems to be corrupt. Bugger. He already did me a favour, so I'm loathe to mention it.)

If Meedermow hasn't already sent off a copy of App.3, let me know...I'll be happy to throw one in the post for you.

Well, Uncanny Antman I apologize. I glanced over your post too quickly. I thought you were interested in getting a copy of AA#3 - not spreading the copy you have. D'oh.

In that case, PM me your email address and I'll send my trade list to you. I'm interested in some of your stuff after all: Returning to Jedi, Twilight Zone TM and Monster Squad. Also if you can elaborate in that PM about what that last disc you mentioned is.

While everyone is in a giving mood, any offers of PIF'ing the 1st two discs in this set in the U.S.?
I got disc 3, but 1 and 2 crapped out on me about 50% when MYSPLEEN went bellyup for
their funds drive. Since then the few seeders that remained were gone. ;-(

I sporadically have access to a 3/4 deck (they're getting harder and harder to find these days) , but it may take me a while to get to this - if somebody else here has better access to a deck, I'm willing to mail them the tape....here's the info from the label....

Oh yeah, that's the Press Kit I saw on Ebay a while back (the only one I saw, though). I don't think it's very common, but I haven't seen it in it's entirety, so who knows.

This sounds fantastic Murch - the wait can be as long as as it needs to be to get this done right - though if anyone else has access and is willing to step up to the mark that would be great. I'd happily spring for secure postage both ways to know that it's safe

I have access to BetacamSP deck and if Alien3 EPK is indeed on BetacamSP tape and PAL format, then I can do it immediatelly. If that's U-matic tape we're talking about, I'll have to check for availability. NTSC transfer is not available. PM me for details regarding sending the tape.

no unfortunately it's on 3/4 inch ntsc tape...

True. There have been a lot of great projects announced in the archives of this site, and they were never finished due to a lack of interest. I'm not saying this project is going to die, but with the way people just forget about topics around here, don't be surprised if there's ever a project you want to see that just fades away never to return.

Please bear in mind this is not being typed through gritted teeth - but I just have to quickly address this.

This project is *not* one of the those that is announced with hoopla and never happens. Believe me, I for one bemoan the myriad of projects that are announced thusly and never materialize.

The difference with them and this is that there are 3 discs of material related to this project that both Jonno are I have sweated over and spent literally 100's of hours working on.

A further disc will follow, no doubt but when *we* are ready to work on it, not just when people decide it's time to kickstart our evidently lazy asses.

My fanedit/life ratio needs to be addressed, since the last release (that was Jonno's baby and easily the best of the 3) I've also finished 4 discs worth of Dawn of the Dead Volume 2 discs and the Taxi Driver preservation. I appreciate that no-one is holding a gun to our head to do these but it's very easy to be an armchair spectator without knowing just how much time and care goes into these.

So apologies if I need a bit of break from it all but I will take the above positively that interest is still out there for more, and as long as people are equally prepared to be forthcoming with material that they promise and don't put us to expense to track down said items when they never arrive then I'll contact Jonno and see what we can rustle up for disc #4.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Coallating all the Spinal Tap material I'm getting is no easy task, while waiting (hopefully) for upgrades in material that I already have. (I want to make sure I have the highest quality material before going through with a disc.) I'm looking forward to your releases, and hope I find time in between all the other maelstroms of time sinks in my life to finish mine.

Sometimes I *really* hate being a renaissance man.
