Anyway here's the answer:
The trophy - White Eagle - went to capt. B.Orlinski flying his PZL P.6, whose twin, P.7, entered serial production and became a workhorse Polish fighter plane in mid-30s. Apart from the competition part there was also a daily air show - Orlinski aerobatics won him applause of the crowd and and the journalists of "New York Herald Tribune", "The New York Times" etc.
Aahh... good old times... nowadays if you're gonna splash your MiG on Le Bourget airfield you can eject in the last moment and land safely... Orlinski's old antics from 30s included diving at max speed and pulling up just 10 ft above the ground - there was no room for error
