DELETED ZEIST - BUSHWACKED

- Not included on the upcoming DL/SL set -

This is a deleted footage from the
Extended Zeist Version "Rough Cut".

We originally added all the Cannes footage festival scenes, all of the deleted scenes and anything else we could find into the first Extended Cut. After the first viewing we realized that the added footage just doesn't work, as it adds nothing to the overall feel of the film. This exiled footage was intended to be cut from the film originally, therefore, by removing this footage from the Extended Zeist Version we now include all of the studio released footage. The final EXTENDED cut is much better without all the poor quality deleted, extended workprint scenes and other footage and audio that was in the original " EZV ROUGH CUT".
There was a reason why some of these scenes had been cut from the original commercial releaes of Highlander II in the first place.

The wait will be worth it now that we have that Italian footage in all it's glory of 2:35.1 to add to the film.

Now we will be able to view the Extended Zeist Version in full 2:35.1 / 16:9 Widescreen throughout the entire presentation.*
* So for now here is some deleted EZV that was never intended to ever be viewed by other than us.

Just received the Italian DVD myself. Aspect ratio is only 2.16:1 though but I don't think it is too noticable.

Okay, so if those scenes are from the workprint is the wp available or can those be thrown on the dvd as a special feature?

The workprint scenes are on the Special Edition DVD commercial "official" release from 2004.

Great artwork ABOVE!!!! Nice, I really like the back.

I Also am very interested in doing a cover for this, or any version of highlander 2 for that matter. I have some material to work with. Could use more.
PM me. Here is one I started years ago. I am a big fan of the original one sheet, that sadly never got a dvd cover.

I'm reseeding.

Also, on the back of my covers, someone said in a PM (sorry I can't find it now) that there should be a crashed spaceship in that Zeist scene. I think that must be different shot of Zeist, cuz I just checked and didn't see it. You guys know what words you want on the back yet. I'll post some disc art soon.

Hey Track,

I think they are talking about the crashed spaceship in the scene before the "500 years ago subtext". In the Special Edition DVD w/ new effects they changed the effect and added a Roman structure to resemble the past.
In the original movie they had a crashed spaceship in that scene. So if this is the Ziest edition I think they wanted that picture since thre is no past in these versions.

If I take the video ts files off of my copy and get the torrent and basically recreate the folder and the txt file if there is one will it seed? Cause I thoroughly enjoyed this...
