You got me. I'm not a person, I'm one of those Geico Cavemen, and I clearly call everybody who disagrees with me a mass murderer. It must be because I'm so unpatriotic.

But at least I don't bemoan the material world and then refuse all well-intentioned advice because I consider it selfish to help out my fellow man if it actually helps me feel better about myself. JediSage, you wallow in misery and bring it here every day. If your sole purpose is to complain about life and do nothing, I know of several walls who make equally good listeners. We've tried to help you when it sounded like it mattered and you threw it in our faces, so you reap what you sow. Consider my attitude towards you "tough love" because I got wise to you ages ago.

Wanna get this thread back on topic? Try to actually execute the noble idea from what you said in your first post: Back a truck up to ol' book-burner's warehouse and take the overstock off his hands, then go play Santa Claus with all the reading material like they're from the Island of Misfit Toys. Writing about people not reading is about as sensible as yelling about noise pollution. Be the change you want to see in the world. Otherwise, you're just white noise in a world full of bellyachers.
