I just think it makes more sense that 3PO show concern for his master than showing concern for the princess who he doesn't even recognize, and what makes you think everybody mentioned has to be shown?

I don't think that everybody mentioned needs to be shown. Tank, for instance. And I don't think that 3PO mentioning the captian on the rebel ship or in the Lars garage is showing a lot of concern. Saying "There will be no escape for the captian this time" is different than saying "There will be no escape for our master this time" . 3PO is just spitting out facts. I don't hear any concern in his voice at all.
