What, you've got one of the Death Star surface chunks?

Knowing you I'd make such wild guess: you're trying to confirm its authenticity?
If I guessed right - I remember there was some album (?) with Joe Johnston's drawings of the DS surface tiles, he designed the form for the mold IIRC.
