I guess you have to be an America to appreciate the flag thing. It is lamely patriotic, but I think that is the point. When I saw the movie with my friend we both laughted at that scene. It is just a very random quick shot of the flag. In reality it is extremely out of place, but again, I think that was the point. I loved it actually. Before you say the American flag has no place in a Spider-man movie, don't forget the movie takes place in New York, not Sidney. Spidey is an American and was created by Americans. While our films and entertainment are exported, they are first and foremost made for and by Americans. Patriotism taken to the extremity like that is humerous. Americans have no problem laughing when Bond pull the string on his parachute and out pops the British flag. It is terribly lame, but you just can't help smiling at it.

I must have missed the Sam Raimi cameo somehow. Ted Raimi has been in all of them, he actually had an extremely small role in this one. The cameo that really bothered me was the Stan Lee cameo. His cameos in every Marvel movie was kind of cool at first when it was kind of a "Where's Waldo" thing, but it has got increasingly more blatant, this time they even gave him lines. It was a really long scene too, and so out of place. Next thing you know he is going to be narrarating the dang things...

However, if and when a special edition is released, and they don't have this stuff on there, I'm going to see if I can attempt to do an edit or something. Maybe even a behind-the-scenes thing like Building Empire. I've got the leaked trailer, loads of on-set pictures, press kit photos, interviews, Comicon roundtables, the whole shebang.

A Building Empire sort of thing would be awesome crazyrabbits!
