The laser disc is the editied version... while I suppose it would be possible to use the laser disc for most of the film and edit in the audio and/or video from the VHS tape to "reconstruct" the original, I think the jump in quality will be so noticable it might be too jarring.

I am thinking of just doing the best transfer and cleanup possible on Njdedhed's VHS tape.

If someone else wants to attempt a Laserdisc/VHS hybrid edit, by all means speak up.

Remember, this isn't a commercial VHS tape, it's a tape that was recorded off HBO 25 years ago....
