I'll say this much: I was looking very forward to it, and I was immensely disappointed. It's a mishmash of plots shoved together, and I thought it wasn't good at all. Let me count the ways...

-Emo Peter telling Mr. Ditkovich to "FIX THE DAMN DOOR!!!"
-the Saturday Night Fever-esque montage scene (because, really, everyone needs a montage)
-attempts at humor placed awkwardly in the film (what, it cuts to J.J. buying a camera from a little girl while Peter is getting his ass kicked?)
-bad acting (Kirsten Dunst trying to sing, Tobey Maguire forcibly making his lip quiver in the last Harry scene)
-dodgy FX in most parts (not the Sandman forming sequence, because that was great)
-unintentional laughs (How's the pie? SOOOO good!)
-lack of Brock/symbiote until end (what, you think shoving the main villain 25 minutes from the end is supposed to be edgy and cool? Screw off. It was goddamn pathetic how they wasted a great opportunity.)
-useless supporting characters (Gwen Stacy? Pawn for Peter to get back at MJ. Captain Stacy? Glorified cameo. Flash Thompson? Are you kidding me?)
-bad moments galore, including:
--the butler conveniently neglecting to tell Harry something about his father until the right moment, and even that's stretching it (how does the butler know what the glider knife pattern looks like? Cleaning a dead man's wound????)
--Venom not bothering to go after a defenseless Peter at the cathedral
--how Brock knows where Mary Jane lives, and how he knows when she leaves for work
--Sandman saying "I'm sorry" to Peter, and he actually accepts the apology, even though the guy has robbed (and possibly killed), as well as being responsible for the death of Uncle Ben
-the ludicrous nuclear testing facility, located in the middle of a field surrounded by a fence

4 out of 10. Could have been better with more editing and a more thought-out script, but wasn't that good at all.

That's my short review.
