Role Playing. It is May of 1977 and we just seen Star Wars, — Page 2

Ha! Better than Kubrick! Are you kidding? This Star Wars thing is just a fad, it will die down. I have seen Star Wars and American Graffiti, this Lucas guy doesn't even come close to Kubrick. I mean, have you seen A Clockwork Orange? Dr. Strangelove? 2001? Lucas made a cool movie, but it will all be forgotten in five years tops (unless there are sequels, then it might go on a little longer), Kubrick on the other hand... people will be watching his films for decades to come.

Heh, just you wait until the next one! I heard Lucas wants to do NINE movies - a whopping nine! It'll be so epic, it will surpass this one in every way!

I dunno, I don't think anyone will be able to achieve the Francis Ford Coppola Godfather, couple that with Godfather II, nothing will beat that at all.

Except for maybe Godfather III! I'm sure that would be incredible.

I don't know if we'll ever see that, Al Pacino hasn't made a film since 1975 and Francis Ford Coppola has been MIA since 1974. The last film he made was Godfather II! Hopefully it'll happen in the future, maybe just maybe.

I was also just thinkin', I wonder what Darth Vader looks like under that helment? Do you think he's human or some other species? I wonder why he has to wear the suit? I bet he may be some sort of species that cannot breath oxygen and has to have whatever environment he needs artificially generated by the suit.

I bet Vader has horns under there.

And who was that Emperor that they were talking about?

I was at the book store yesterday and by chance found the novelization. It is actually written by George Lucas himself, and I must say, he is a pretty good writter. I hope he writes more science fiction novels in the future, I am really enjoying it. Anyway, it has a few things that are not in the movie. It even mentions what species Darth Vader is! He is of some race called Sith, it doesn't say what they are like though. I am betting reptilian.

Wow, that Luke isn't a good shot is he? I mean I saw him miss when he had to throw that rope. Those troopers should have caught that rope and, pulled him off that ledge.

Are you kidding? Have you seen how skinny Lucas is? No way he'll ever be bigger than Kubrick.

Do you think we will get to see Luke become a Jedi? And what about these Clone Wars that Luke's Father was in?

That movie would have been better if it was more silly and less cool. If they are going to make sequels, they should introduce some really silly amphibious creature with big ears and a lone tongue or something. He should have a ridiculous accent that ruins the whole movie.

I bet Darth Vader killed tons of Jedi in the clone wars.

I wonder what the clone wars was all about? Did they make a whole bunch of clones to fight each other or did only one side have clones? Who did they clone?

My guess is that one side developed cloning and cloned all their best warriors. Probably the other side retailiated and did the same. How would that be huh? To clone you ultimate fighting champions over and over and over until you have whole armies of only your finest fighters. That would make sense to me. Darth Vader is probably a left over clone. Maybe that is why he wears the mask and has that weird breather thing. Maybe clone don't live as long as regular people, so he has to use life support.

I always saw Vader as what he is. A big dark helmet man... I honestly have NO CLUE what can be said about him, except just to wait and see what the SEQUEL (yeah I have too much trust in the sequel) will reveal.

I think the clone wars was what you said... both sides developed clones and duked it out, with the Jedi trying to restore order in between, maybe... or on one of the sides.

Also, I heard that a sequel IS IN FACT in the works! It's most likely scheduled for a 1979-1980 release (my assumptions)...

Can you even imagine what it'll be called. If it's just Star Wars 2 I think I might just cry.

I hope there's a flashback in the next one to show how Vader killed Luke's dad.

Hey look, a bear!

I wonder if Obi-wan was there? Do you think Vader killed Luke's mom also?

most likely... that would be so cool to see! It would also add a darker tone to the Star Wars films.

No, I think they would have mentioned it if he had killed Luke's mother as well. It is obviouse he is a orphan, so if Vader killed his mother there would be no reason for Obi-Wan and Luke not to have talked about it. Luke seemed to have closure over his mother's death, based on the fact he immediately jumped to asking just about his father's rather than his parent's death. My guess is that after her husband was killed, Luke's mother moved to live with her brother and his wife or her sister and her husband depending on whether it is Beru or Owen that is her blood relation. I guess Owen could be Luke's paternal aunt. At any rate, It would make sense that she moved in with the Lars so they could help her out during her diffucult time. I bet she died sometime when Luke would have been concious about it.

Hmm, I think they should call the second one Star Wars II: The Wrath of Vader! How fantastic of a name for a sci-fi film would that be!

Wrath of Vader, yeah that is very unique they ought to run with that. But I just still don't see what else they could run with in a sequel. Tarkin is dead and the space station is destroyed, Vader flew into space without any hope. I've already seen this movie 12 times since it was released (I've had to kick my lawn mowing service into overdrive to get the money) whenever Han took his ship out of light speed where Alderaan should have been and they found that lone tie fighter, one of them commented about how that tie fighter could not survive that far in space alone. So how would Vader make it all by his lonesome out there with no place to go.

Some poor, unsuspecting soul will read his distress signal and go to rescue him. As soon as they open the hatch to let him in, they will gasp in shock as they see who he is. He'll slash them all up with his lightsaber, and take their ship. I just hope they show a scene like that, that would be groovey.
