and thats really the cusp of the problem, and the US is not the only one doing it. We train these 3rd world countries to be killers and give them all sorts of weapons to kill each other, then we just leave them high and dry.

Canada too. My country is great in a lot of ways, but when it comes to this we're as guilty as the next one. Infact Canada is the largest seller of arms during peace time of any country in the world.

really rebel, i didnt know that. what do we sell?

to bossk, you should now that it was kawats fault that iraq attacked them. not because iraq was being a bully and trying to get kawats oil. the true it that kawat was stealing iraqs oil. and iraq warned them many times to stop b4 they invaded the.

how you may ask they were sting oil? what happened was that there was a oil resavoir that border BW Kawat and iraq cut in half. both the kawat'ese and the iraq'ese (SP on both) were taping into this well. then the kawat thought it would be smart so what they did was build more oil pumpsonly what they did was biuld them on there side, the diagonal pipes cross the border under ground and began to extract oil on the iraqy side. i raq found out and they told kawat to stop, kawat se go screw yourself, iraq attacks. SO you can say that Kawat deserved all that it got and it should have gotten more.

think of the EP of the simpson where Mr Burns steals oil from the local school.( i think it was part one of "who killed mr burns")

so in actual history the US really aided the dishonest country that brought war upon themselves. now doesnt that make you feel special.

I always feel special.

"And there was much rejoicing... yay."

And leave it to US media to keep it one sided. How is the media in other countries? How one sided is it there (I am, of course, asking those of you in countries other than the US)?

its definitely a lot better and even handed from what I can tell. There will always be a slant, but Canadian News at least feels a lot classier, and a lot more objective. Less sensational, more intellectual.

40 years?

How about 3?

The Russian Antarctic research team (forgot the name of the station, was it Vostok?) wants to probe a huge lake under the ice cap (Ontario is like a puddle next to it). It is supposed to contain 25+million-(?)-years-old organisms etc. - enough to make those four-eyed geeks drool. Now, it was all OK, until other scientist (like USian) started to wonder what can happen if they'll drill a hole through the ice layer. They have calculated that the effect will be like hitting a shaken soda can with a nail - in plane English: kaboom! The pressure (as the water hidden there contains more oxygen) will crack the cap and create huge tidal wave, that will fund tickets to "Waterworld" to half of the Earth populace, K.Costner included. Not to mention those weird super-old bacteria floating everywhere... - "Outbreak" is gonna to be a comedy when compared to it.

Russians do not respond to pleas to stop the drilling. They need 3 more seasons (years) to complete their task.

Oh wait. I live right beside the Great Lakes which are likely to cause a problem. Damn.

Well, this "event" would certainly take care of Motti's favorite galpal NileQT seeing as how she's a San Diego dweller.

This "event" would also take care of your favorite RRS-1980, since I also live on the Coast, in "Tricity".
In Gdansk, to be exact. I hope you've heard about my city before, you know, Solidarity, shipyard, Walesa, fall of communism... or first salvos in WW2... various celebrities lived here, actors (Klaus Kinski), scientists (D.Fahrenheit, Hevelius), authors (Günter Grass)... rings the bell?

Wanna postcard?

But he looks so totally raggedy now. I think he's, like, gonna be a contestant on, like, A Makeover Story or, like, that Queer Eye show. Totally Righteous!

Sorry, just had to go valley girl on that one.

Guys where is he gonna end up now? I was wondering about it, and what came to my mind is a story about two Houses, warring for a sandy planet, so important to Emperor Shaddam...

I'm assuming this is sung to the tune of J.Lo's "Jenny From the Block"? If so... hilarious.

My personal favourite take on Jenny From the Block is still, "Ooooh! Jenny's been AROUND the block!" It was in a radio promo I heard.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.
