In this age of laptops, portable DVD, and Ipods, why do they even bother with hacked up movies on airlines anymore? I took a train trip earlier this year, and Amtrak had stopped showing movies in the snack car. It's interesting the studios were still providing them with VHS copies of current films as late as last fall. (My previous train trip had showings of X-Men III and Devil Wears Prada, fullscreen and edited for content.) What format do airlines use these days? And do they still charge you for the crappy headphones?
