I think the "We are legion" is taken from the God-awful "Ghost Rider" movie, in which at the end, the evil villain formed from thousands of dead souls, screams "We are legion, FOR WE ARE MAAAAAAANYYYYYYYY!"

Whoa! These guys need to get out more! Do they even know what "legion" means? Doesn't even make much sense in the way they use it.

Wow, these Hollywood types are really starting to have a hard time coming up with original material.
Mark 5:9
Jesus asked him, "what is your name?" And he said, "My name is Legion, for we are many."
The word "legion" literally means thousands. In Roman military terminology it was the name for a phalanx of 3,000 to 6,000 men. In Mark, which I quoted above, it was a demon who had possesed a man. When Jesus commanded the demon out of the man, it begged him to be allowed to posses a heard of 2,000 pigs. After Jesus gave legion the okay on the pigs, they immediately ran into the river and drowned. After that the villagers asked Jesus to leave and never to come back again.
